My original passion is music, as it was the first media that I was truly able to enjoy as a consumer and express as a performer. Thanks to my father's vynil collection of over 6,000 records, I was raised to appreciate good music. The size of my music collection could be described as grotesquely large and wildly eclectic. My musical taste runs the gamut, classic rock, grunge, metal, classical, bluegrass, contemporary, blues, jazz, etc.

As a musician and multi-instrumentalist, every single genre of music and even every band I listen to influences me, and my compositions reflect this. I began playing guitar at the age of 6 with classical training but quit taking lessons within the first few years after learning the basics of classical and jazz guitar. Since reaching double-digit age, I have been a self-taught guitarist as well as a self taught drummer and bassist. Along with this I also play trumpet, euphonium, and sing. As a result, I have been trying to find the time to write and record my own music as a solo musician. However, it becomes quite a daunting task to write the material for guitars, drums, bass, and vocals and then record all of the tracks for each instrument myself. While this goal is a work in progress, I do have a few songs and demos that have been recorded. Most of these recordings were demos that I undertook so that I could test the quality of recording i could obtain with simply a vocal microphone and a computer. I also have made a foray or two into the world of MIDI compositions.
